S&A Law were recognised in the recent Lawyers Weekly national law firms as a boutique firm that is punching well above its weight in valuing and supporting the “wellness” of its team.

Investing in the physical and mental well-being of our team goes beyond just providing them with access to good-end-of-trip facilities!  Helping them to have a sense of professional purpose and direction is essential to their growth as future leaders in our profession.  Furthermore, a happier and healthier team will be more productive, want to come to work and deliver a better experience for our clients.

Jessica Silberstein,  S&A Law’s CEO, initiated a Moving Forward mentorship program which looks at each individual employee and maps out a professional development plan that is unique to them.   This individualised program puts each staff member in the driving seat of their career. The strategy behind the program was simple – setting goals fuels ambition and it is a powerfully motivating process.   At S&A Law, our team members (from administration staff to senior lawyers) are supported to turn their professional vision of themselves into a reality.  Jessica explains:

“the program has been such an eye-opener, and it has been like watching a caterpillar turn into a butterfly.  Given the right support we are witnessing team members achieve professional milestones they didn’t believe were possible.  What can be more satisfying than this?”

A further “wellness” initiative the S&A law team participate in is weekly resistance training around various sites in Sydney, led by qualified personal trainers. Increasing the fitness of the S&A Law staff was obviously one goal of this initiative.  But more importantly Jessica explains that “getting them away from sitting at their desks and talking to their workmates was an even greater impetus behind the program”.  Jessica did research and found that staff who play together are much more likely to stay together.

S&A Law promotes itself as having a cohesive legal team, this is of fundamental importance to delivering exceptional results to our clients.   The wellness initiatives have at the heart of them team-building aspirations.  S&A Law is very proud to boast that its staff share a fantastic professional relationship with each other, and even more exciting, they share genuine human relationships too.

There is little doubt that the S&A law “wellness” initiatives have played a huge part in the creation of a very unique S&A Law work/life style, and will continue to drive S&A Law Moving Forward into the future.
